The American Idolater

I don’t really get the point of this, but Fox’s official American Idol web site has a poll today asking “Who Should Have Made It” where they list five singers who didn’t make the top 24. Those singers, with their current vote totals:
Tommy Daniels, 24%
Anna Kearns, 7%
Jimmy McNeal, 5%
Marisa Rhodes, 51%
Thomas Lowe, 11%

Well, the last of the audition city episodes, and only one more audition episode to go before we start to get into the meat of the show. I don’t care what the producers say, you can only take so many terrible singers before you want to stop watching. I think they went overboard [...]
