Clay Aiken Joins Cast of “Spamalot”
Who would have guessed it, Clay Aiken and musical theater, together like two peas in a musical theater performance. (If I was really being crude I’d have made a Holy Grail “swallows” joke here, but I’m not, so I won’t even bring it up.)
Clay will be joining the cast of “Monty Python’s Spamalot” at the Shubert Theatre on Broadway on January 18th, 2008, playing Sir Robin. Spamalot is directed by Mike Nichols, who has never performed on American Idol. Neither has Eric Idle, despite the homophone that is his last name. Will coincidences never cease?
Clay will play the role through May 4th, 2008.
