Former AI Contestant Jessica Sierra Goes Crazy
Wow, so, I have no memory of someone named Jessica Sierra on American Idol, but apparently she was, and finished in 10th place back in 2005. What kind of long-term memory do people think we have, that we should be able to remember such a distantly forgotten AI contestant?
Anyway, Jessica looks like she may be worth remembering, because she’s endlessly entertaining. Back in April she was arrested for battery and cocaine possession after she threw a cocktail glass at someone in a nightclub. Fun! The police officers were worried that she might break the windows of the squad car based on how hard she was kicking them.
She got 12 months probation from that, and an appearance on a VH1 reality show about rehab hosted by Dr. Drew (hooray Loveline!) that’s scheduled to air in January. Apparently she’s not better, though, because she’s back in jail right now.
She was in a bar once again, and this time got kicked out by security. She started shouting and getting violent and pushing random people on the street, and the police eventually had to arrest her. After that she got into offering sexual favors if they would let her go, followed by racial slurs when they refused. Let’s not forget the allegations of homosexuality that she shouted at the policemen as well, and threatening a female police officer with physical violence and alleging that the policewomen was a prostitute. She also threatened to take away the police officers’ jobs, claiming that her aunt is the mayor of whatever God-forsaken Florida town they were in. Oh, and there’s battery and — once again — cocaine possession charges to go along with all of that.
Since she violated her probation she can’t be let out on bond, and so she’s stuck in jail. How fun! For us, of course, has to kind of suck for Jessica. I guess she’s trying to do the Lindsey Lohan messed-up celebrity route, except she forgot to do the whole “become a celebrity” bit, which really needs to be step one. You can’t try to find a shortcut to messed-up celebrity just by going crazy in a bar. Like the judge told her…
Sierra was denied bond during her first court appearance Sunday morning. The judge had harsh words for the former reality show star, telling her “Obviously the bar scene isn’t working out well for you, I would suggest you find another form of entertainment.”
